Vintage shots from days gone by!

A couple of cars from France 1918:
The first is a 5.7 litre Austro-Daimler "Prince Henry" with Kaiser Wilhelm as a passenger.
The second, packed with children celebrating the cessation of hostilities.

 

It seems further south from the Founders.

 

Any idea whose dirt car that is with the Gurney Motor? I don't remember that one. I thought it was one of the STP cars with a Westlake Plymouth until I looked at the valve covers.

You are correct in that it is an STP car. In 1970 Andretti drove with the Ford (Gurney/Weslake) engine at Springfield. He qualified 5th but went out early with suspension problems.

Here is challenge, identify the driver in this Hardtop racer from 1956. The pictures were taken at a DJ Celebrity Race on the 5/8 mile dirt track, Hillsboro, Oregon. Hint, his name is not Don, but he is known around the world !
