a reply is really not needed........... get to work to solve the problems.

  2. Yes, get to work and solve the problems ... and
yes, reply to the thread he began to acknowledge the problems and to ***ure those folks that the problems listed will be addressed.
The " no reply" on H.A.M.B. is an extension of what customers have already experienced via phone and email.
Why begin a thread, if you're not going to reply ?
F.Y.I., I was pleased to hear your friend in Asheville was OK, during the fires in the mountains.

  3. Has anyone ordered anything from Jamco this past week and what was their customer service like when ordering? I'm sure that Gus (no, I don't know him and yes I've ordered before from them) has a lot more going on than to spend time answering every post, on every thread on the internet. Maybe he has already answered a number of people and hasn't got to you yet. Cut him some slack

  4. I've ordered from JAMCO in the past, but not in this past week.
Won't do it again, but that's my choice and their loss.
If Gus writes a thread, he needs to be PREPARED to address the comments from the thread he wrote..
    Just that simple.

Same guys there as when I ordered in August of this year and I was not happy with the long delays and when they lied about the ETA on my parts.

I would bet these would not be dates in the same month, given past performance.

Exactly, I jokingly tell my customers...They will get tired of hearing from me. I believe this is one of the main reasons (along with the quality of my service of course) that sets me above the rest in my business.
    Bill[/QUOTE]

Bill has hauled for me in the past, and I would never hesitate to use him again. He's not bragging about his communication and service, in fact, he's understating it! Happy New Year, Bill.

  8. Given the nature of his "promises" it would have been good form for him to chime in a couple times to ***ure the folks that he was getting the message. Maybe he doesn't know how to find his thread? Maybe it's business as normal?

    I'd write them off.....

Don't know as I agree with closing the thread just yet, but I do agree with Bob1951chevy that the guy needs to come back and post, acknowledging the problems of the past and outlining the changes made to alleviate the problems of the past.
Allowing this thread to go on and on without his return will just go further in convincing HAMBers that his first post that started this thread was just so much ******** and it's gonna be business as usual.

Possibly not but maybe he is filling orders. Being the season it is everyone is busy with family doings and such. Might want to give him a opportunity to respond although their track record hasn't been good.

I don't have a dog in this fight because I have never dealt with them but I hate to see anyone run out of the business who could be a promising source of rare parts. "Mopar" parts peaked my interest because sheet metal parts for my panel truck are pretty much non existent. If I were Jamco I would be on here offering parts for free if I didn't meet the agreed upon deadline. That would get everyone's attention and show commitment. If Jamco is serious they would have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

  17. If they intend to change how they do business, then it's going to take time and effort.

It is also the holiday season, so cut the guy a little more slack, maybe another two weeks, then have his ***, if he's not come back.... :D

It would be a shame to ruin what could potentially be an ***et to this community, with to much negativity.
I'd like to start this year looking for the positives in everything, less focus on the negative.

I emailed Stewart at Jamco yesterday and suggested he revisit this post that he started and look at the comments.

Thank you for coming back to this thread and posting.
I for one don'y need any parts right now, just the motivation and energy to utilize stuff I've already bought and have on hand. But I still would like to get on HAMB and see threads about how much better Jamco customer service has gotten:)

Freebies are great and all, but I think most guys would just be happy getting their stuff when they are promised.

Freebies (ie shirts or hats) don't help with customer service... Action is stronger than words. I will keep watching....
Maybe I'll mystery shop Jamco at some point.. and see what happens... maybe already have ??? hmm

I agree, ****abunchafreebies just sell good stuff and offer prompt delivery and good customer service and you'll do just fine.

Wow.. glad I didn't read any these posts before I bought. I posted the below on another Jamco thread here on the Hamb no problems at all from the first phone call to my springs at my front door...

Just about finished installing my 3" drop springs from Jamco, and they easy to get a hold of, answer my questions and even extended the holiday discount for me. Sure it took a few weeks to get, since they make to order, but its top notch product. I received updates on shipment and my receipts via email. And I dealt with George.. very helpful
