Oh my, how much more stroke are you adding to this bad boy? Thank God today, there are so many different crankshafts and connecting rod configurations available to reinvent the wheel at a reasonable cost.... Not to mention custom Pistons.

Is it going to be Callies or Scat on the crank? Or another source?

Are you using Molnar or Crower rods?

    Mahle, Ross, or CP Pistons?

I always get excited over out if the ordinary builds. Some of us like abuse and refuse to use a LS -or- Gen 3 Hemi... Muhahahaha

This one is a truck 409 block .100 over bore and a modified 427 Chevy crank with Ross pistons and Eagle Big Block Chevy rods.
Going to run a set of modified 583 iron heads.
    Nothing to fancy.

I am compiling parts to build a couple of flathead Mopars. A stock 201", a radical 230" on the small sixes. A stock 228", and a radical 265" on the big Sixes. After that a 331 extended bell Chrysler Firepower, and a 354.... I like out of the ordinary. My hopped up slant six really surprised a lot of people. Now onto some "older" stuff.

I'm having one of my senior moments. Whose unit is that? McKay?

Pretty sure that is a timed, non-constant flow system.

  21. I do not know if this is fact or not, but I have heard some of the older drag race guys state that the staggered stacks were mostly used on auto trans cars, and the even length stacks on stick cars. Dont really know for sure.

Big block Chevy heads have intake ports that are not identical. The length of the stack and angle are tuned to allow for this configuration.
