Folks who don't build cars like these don't understand how much time it takes to do a good job on these oddball parts of the build.
Got off the road for a few days, and am back in garage working on chassis. Removed the motor mounts on front member, and am cleaning it up, but have been chasing cracks across the top where original u-bolts sat. Been busy with work, and building my daughter a bed, but did some wheeling and dealing with my dad, and have scored the quintessential front centerpiece: a '49-52 Bell dropped axle. It has been on his model A, (see avatar) for 30 years... he's ready for a change, so I'm doing some trading with him.. Messed around and got an infection in my finger off a small cut few weeks back... doc put me on IV antibiotics for 8 weeks... has slowed me down, trying not to sweat the bandage off pic line in my arm...
