I'm assuming that is being loaded or unloaded for drag racing team trip to England.
I seem to remember that they did drop one car and never recovered it. I don't remember what car it was.

This Oscar Gregory Chevrolet team car was tuned and driven by Ted Radoumis. The Moore name is Mike Moore, now in Oregon. This one of their cars carried the J&S Speed Center banner. It was flat towed to Indy, along with the Shig, Norton, and Peach 57. We lost Ted in Jan '17. 15776632_10211202564041578_4454643785169793305_o.jpg 11182211_952907648063758_2701813194570096560_n.jpg

Here is how many cars were "transported" in those days. LA to Indy for the Nats, Indy to Half Moon Bay to set a record, which was "on the wall" at Mark's Half Moon Bay Bakery until sold recently, and back to LA on tow hubs. 15937210_10202862970892202_1229531137914156843_o.jpg

I'll say it again, this thread does not acknowledge enough the role that tow bars played in drag racing history.
We need more tow bar shots guys.

    Love it.
With a thread this large who will complain about reruns.
Hell, I still watch reruns of MASH.

Butch Thuney still owns his 55, sitting in his shop in moth balls. Larry Hedlund & son are still racing in Comp Eliminator.

I've posted this on a couple other threads but does anybody know who owned this '41 Willys Gasser? It's on my Santa Ana Orange county Airport Dragstrip 1952-59 DVD.
