Wow, that '64 looks really nice, like it might have original paint on it and everything. Damn shame it sat there like that so long, I hope the owner wised up once he took it home.

'64 GTO post models were kind of rare and even rarer with a Tri-Power.

This 1966 GT40 was the last one with a Ford serial number. It was found under a pile of garbage in a garage in 2014.

I rescued this '41 Merc from a gravel pit where it had sat for many years. It was pretty well stripped of parts, but the shell was really solid. Sold it to another Hamber a few years ago.....

I'm going to go save these old chevys today. There is also a 46 coupe that I didn't get pictures of. 20170208_102559.jpg 20170208_102051.jpg 20170208_101815.jpg 20170208_102029.jpg 20170208_102400.jpg

My DW grew up a mile away from that yard in Upstate NY.
Local story goes that they got shut down during the Korean War for selling s**** illegally. They continued acquiring stuff but didn't resume selling until the 60's. It's still owned by the same Family, but as you can tell it's pretty much abandoned today. :(

Nothing like a couple million dollars in the garage under a bunch of trash.

Just took this on my way home. Guys said there was a 57 Chrysler on a side road in a nearby town. appears to be a nice car. Has very low miles, but it's been outside a few years now so they can park some newer car in the garage.

That's actually a 1956 Chrysler Imperial. They made 6,821 of that model/style. Should have a 354 HEMI in it.

New arrival at the local yard. 1934 Chrysler. Grille shell, bumpers and fenders are inside, hood is there too.

Decent shape for an 83 year old car in VT.

Would that make it the straight imperial brand made by the Chrysler company?

Yes, that is correct. The Imperial became a separate en***y from Chrysler in 1955. Thanks for bringing that up.

Not yet. I did ask about it, but I saw something else there though that I wouldn't mind grabbing, a 56 Mercury. Fairly solid, lots of parts inside including wood moldings, bumpers nearby in a storage box

No kidding. I'd have been slobbering over that and trying to figure out how I was going to pay for it and where I was going to put it.

He told me to make an offer on it, I don't know what I'd do with it. Could build something different that's for sure. 59 Ford behind it could give up a rear, there's a 409 in a bus, hmmm

This sits in VA on the side of Rt81 South, took the pic about 4-5 years ago, maybe it's gone.

  28. That '52 Ford pickup is the same year model that I am, and it looks better than I do. Looks like it was driven to where it sits and parked.
