Hey 1LOW, no offence, but why don't you get a custom tattoo, not just something you can pick off the wall, you'll be alot happier when you don't see some other guy with the same thing. Just my 2 cents [IMG]

What kind of art are you looking for, and where do you want to put it?

If you go to a good studio they should be able to help you out if you tell them what you are kinda wanting, and let them put the skills they have to work, that's what they are there. might cost you 20 or 30 bucks for a deposit tho [IMG]

I used to kinda be in the tattoo business, and the best way to get em, is to just come up with an idea find a good guy and just let him draw it up form your idea. It always turns out better if it's something he likes too.

I want it on my upper arm. Ya'll might think I'm nuts but I'm getting my wifes and both kids names,(nuts about the wifes name I mean), and I want it set in something, but what I don't know.

I work with a great artist and asked him to help me. He was going to until he found out that it was for a tat and becouse of his religious beliefs he said he would'nt becouse he "would not help me desicrade my body".......oh well..

I wouldn't get your wifes name on yer arm that creates instant doom for your marriage. Get your kids but not your wifes. Your kids are forever your wife may not be.

REASEARCH, don't go to the first hack you find to do it. Make sure you look through the artist's books and pay attention to how well the artist does with detail. And for GOD'S sake, don't let him/her do ANYTHING freehand on you. You just might come out with something like this...
(The girl was there, a result of researching artists. The resulting "Lily" script with dildo were a result of going to some hack on a whim. It has since been covered.)
I honestly don't think he tried to do that, I just really think he was a terrible artist.
You appear to be a Bob Dylan fan, so I'll share this. I had this hack put a U.S. Route 61 sign (Highway 61) on my left arm and while he had the needle dirtied, I just had him attempt to write the name Lily on the other side, this was the best he could do.

As a one of the very tattooed I would suggest that you work with the artist that i sgoing to do the tattoo and let him have input into the design. You should be much happier with the end product that way. Also don't something silly like shopping for the best price, shop for quality of work. maybe you should just fly into Raleigh and let Errol @ Blue Flame do it. And the names I can't condone the wife's name, kids cool, wife no....

if the wife's name is a must, get it done in a lighter color, ya know just in case. I've got my lady's nickname on me, but it's small and in red letters. Just cos you never know what the future may bring.

You can start by looking for a tattoo forum. The hamb is about traditional hot rods. sorry but I'm tired of off-topic stuff.

Wives are cool, tattoos of wives name are not. Did you ever see the pic by Norman Rockwell with the sailor getting his new girls name tattooed on his bicep while the tattooist has drawn a line through the 1/2 a dozen other girls name above his new one? [IMG]
