Snopro: I am planning a 4 bar in front and back. I have thought about stretching the doors rather than the back of the cab. I don't want to mess up the back of the cab/fender relation. Nothing is in stone yet, I also thought about stretching the frame 4" then put 2" in the doors and 2" in the cab. It's a lot of work for 4" though, that's why I'm thinking I'll just deal with the stock dimensions.
I think I'll mock it up with the 302 in the stock frame, see where the firewall ends up and go from there.

Then you're gonna like what I've got planned after the Waske Effect hits the streets. Can ya say Lil Red 29 Roadster P/U, might be 153ci powered though???? Or could end up Nailhead Buick powered?????? I've had the 29 cowl 21years.
96-99 were great years for me to be buying steel....

Scott, it got me in the Old Timers WLA. ;).
It wore an Outriders Plaque as well.
I really miss the All American Burger Days,
Dan, Stan, Frank, Don, Roger, Mike and Monk, not to mention Bud Hand, Ed Donovan, now Nick Arias Sr.

All that gave you and I an education in L.A. Hot Rods, Racing and just hanging with good friends.:).

Did the same with the 34 from coupe to roadster, I think people thought I was BS'g until they'd see it was the same chassis. ;).
It was hell not being able to afford a whole other running chassis, so ya do what ya can in order to meet the criteria for the events.

I remember your cool little 29 on 32 Rails-Post a pic of that if ya can find one handy.

I thought of doing this, wouldn't be all that hard. Then again, I'd rather have both!

I added 2" in the doors and 2" in the cab. I took the dimensions of my friend Lew Noble's 32 Roadster floor and tried to make a 29 RPU with the same legroom as a 32. It helps that I'm not following the rules in the first place(no fenders, making my own frame, moving the wheels back and forth, etc. One other thing, although I'm doing this thing kinda less than traditional..I am loving all these cool RPU's on this thread !!!

  16. Why would someone paint the D/Gas classification on a street roadster??

I'd like to see that one with all the panels closed up. It's a very different spin on the usual "fad T" format. I haven't liked most of the Shadow Rods cars I've seen, but this one looks pretty good.

o_O That is most definitely NOT a Fad T. Far from it.

It isn't a different variation of a Fad T, and it wasn't built in any way to mimic that format.
In case you haven't picked up on it yet, calling something a Fad T or even suggesting that it might be related is like swearing... basically it's sacrilege to hot rod tradition :D

It still has a little ways to go til it gets new shoes, those are just my rollers. It will more then likely get 750 rears and 550 or 600 fronts though
