Hello, I have to make a decision soon about what to do with a couple cars in the scrap pile.
I just wonder if anyone can feel the love of combining them, or is it really a, "just because you can, does not mean you should".
What I have is a 1952 dodge pilot house truck with no bed.
A 1951 plymouth suburban with good rear quarter panels, tailgate etc...
Does anyone besides me, think that making a pickup bed out of the rear quarter panels of the suburban and bolting it on to the truck would be a good idea?
Maybe if I saw a visualization, it could help me scrap the cars and move on with my life.

  3. Might have to modify the rear wheel openings a bit and lower it but I think it could look pretty good...

Seeing as it's here now, anyone want to show me how you'd do a two tone paint scheme on my truck please? I'm looking at dodge Hunter green and a warm toned white, could use black for accent if needed.

Much appreciated and keep up the great work. [emoji106]

It was suggested I try a lighter green, so could I trouble you for one more on the Cabover. Thanks

No rush man, just take care of yourself. Bronchitis is a bitch, I've had it several times. The only good thing is it helped me quit smoking cigars.

  23. Geez madfish. you've been dealing with that for awhile now. Hope you beat it soon!!!

  24. Could someone photoshop these into a chopped 2 Dr custom. Try to leave below the window line stock height. The rear part of the roof in particular bothers me in stock form

I messed around with the top and doors for an hour and couldn't get anything I really liked. Then I had an idea. Take the top from a 4-door '51
Frazer Manhattan hardtop (or similar Kaiser Virginian) and mount it on the older body. The newer top was chopped by the factory and was pretty sleek. It was still a four-door, but with a glass partition between the front and rear windows. I just eliminated the partition in converting to 2-door coupe.

I used another photo for the base to get the right angles. Hope you don't mind.
