A little late with this, but here are some pictures from Detroit. We got in on the tour of the GM Heritage Center organized by Denise, so I'll start with that.
At this point, my batteries died and my wife had had enough cars, so we headed to Greektown for dinner on the People Mover.
Good pics. Thanks for the effort. I had a car there (you included a picture-black 62 Vette) and your pic may be better than mine-hope you don't mind if I steal it. My pics have so many reflections that they looks goofy. Your fourth picture of the lite blue roadster with the white firewall had a great sound to it. He checked in at the same time I did and got to listen to it rumble. I may have made a few changes to the look of the car if it was mine but would not change anything in the engine. Thanks for the effort in uploading them.
My wife found a tour of an art deco sky s****er two blocks from COBO, so we went in the afternoon. It was originally a bank and Edsel Ford was on the Board. It was cool to sit in the same room and same table where Edsel once sat. Such great history in Detroit! Check this tour out if you get a chance.
looks like a great show and thanks for the wonderful pics. I've been wondering what happened to my '40 Pickup.
Thanks for posting these wonderful pixs. All those ceiling lights make for good lighting, but their reflections are terrible for car photos.
Great group of Hambalicious art for the eyes to provoke thought, dreams and reality. Thank you @40LUV you have a good eye...
Some really tasteful touches on some of the cars. I particularly like the tailgate on the pick-up above - subtle - just enough, not too much.
Well I'll be danged, that third picture is a Mercury Body Speedster on a Chevy ch***is! (Rare stuff, I'm told, although you can find them lying in the bushes in some parts.) Thanks for posting these pics, they're great. (Oh, and thank you Timwhit for the head's up.)
I went through the Guardian Building 3years ago while on an architectural tour in Detroit. Great building. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
