  8. I'd hazard a guess that no inspection was tied to this bridge if it was within the confines of the farm property itself. There's an awful lot of those types of bridges around here. We had a small one across our irrigation ditch that the farm trucks and tractors drove across. It was sturdily built and withstood some pretty hefty weights coming across it.

  10. This shot was taken at SW 34th Ave. and SW Canby St. in Multnomah off of Capitol Hwy in 1961. The street I grew up on in the Capitol Hill area wasn't paved until 1990. Not all of us in Portland had paved streets and sidewalks. :)

    This shot was in September 1935 Popular Mechanics it said they launched it off a 1000 ft cliff from a greased plank mounted to the car...Wow..[​IMG]

    Mags, scrubba was talking about the inspection station.
    Scrubba, if you click on the pic of the inspection station you can read "Portland" on the sign.
