Hi there! I'm an old, retired guy in central Mississippi that is loyal to the old Fords. Through the years I've had '55 and '59 T-Birds, and a '57 Ranchero. In recent years I've been more into the '30/'40 vintage Fords. I now have a '38 Club Coupe that I bought with a SBC. Last year I built a mild 276" flathead and installed it in the '38. I have sold my '40 that my wife and I have used to traveled over the Southeast for the last 20 years, so I need a comfortable long distance car. I'm in the process of buying a '55 Victoria, so this forum is a perfect fit for me. I'll be asking a lot of questions and hopefully can contribute, too.
Welcome to a wonderful group! Lots of helpful people here. Sounds like you've had some great vehicles too. You will love the '55 Vicky. Post up some pictures when you have time.
Welcome, great bunch of people in this little corner of the HAMB. Tell us more about the 55 you are buying. Enjoy.
Welcome aboard! Your going to love it here. I have nothing but high praise for this forum and the people.
The car has had a lot of work done; integral PS, power disc brakes, 5 speed, beautiful paint, interior, AC, etc. It still needs a few finishing touches. Plans are for a longer distance road car that my wife is comfortable in. She has back/joint problems that just can't take the ride of the basically stock '38 suspension. More details and pics when/if the deal is done.
