The fakes are "old school" traditional though and listed in the aftermarket catalogs back in the 50's and 60's check out the old Almquist catalogs from "back in the day" on the Jalopy Journal pages.

In my area (M***.)growing up having a cool car was fender skirts, dual dummy sporlights, dual antenaes. Nobody had the bucks to modify bodies, etc. We all drooled over the California cars with the Tiajuana tuck and rolled upholstery.

Never understood the allure of kickstands (fake lakes pipes) either.

If you had them hooked up with cutouts and forgot how hot they were and got out of the car and you or your gal made contact with them :eek::eek: on your bare leg on a hot pipe that might explain it. ;)

Great looking cars here. And there's nothing lame about dummy spots or non-functional lake pipes. That **** is custom.

I don't like those wheels either

Another thing, while I know they have been around forever, fake spots don't do anything for me.

I'm all in for dummy spotlights and lakepipes but those wheels gotta go.

I don't make a practice of criticizing other folks cars but I have to agree with the majority, the wheels don't do anything for the car,the chop and the section work look good. HRP

The Olds headlight treatment really works on these Fords.

Due to an unfortunate placement, I thought I'd do a quick and dirty, and remove the quick and dirty from a nice pic.

I wish there was a double like for this one. I'll take two of them.
