Technical Hub caps and trim rings

I'm putting 15" stock 1955 chevy rims on my 47 fleetline. I would like to see different types of hubcaps trim rings and both on your car. So lets see what you guys have done and also what are they off of originally from the factory.
Remember we all love pictures.

I love red painted wheels, baby moons, and trim rings. Variations on the theme almost as good. Simple under-stated elegance. Cragars and Torque thrusts are cool as well but for me caps and rings are the best. Enjoy seeing the pics.

 

I totally agree. I'm torn on the color of the rims red or black. The car will be getting black primer because it's red oxide from previous owner and I can't stand that color primer. Had it on to many of my cars as a kid. I do know I want caps and rings. Any impute is always welcome I won't be offendedone way or another.

This is the car now I've been working on the drive line updating to a open drive mostly bring it into the mid 50's rearend trans and brakes.

SmokinBill....Love that coupe!!!! Leadfootloon.....I'm guessing '55 15" passenger rims, but in your picture, looks like you're running 6-lug on your Aerosedan, which might be truck rims. In any event......both rims have "lugs" to run baby moon, or any of the Chevy dog dish/poverty hubcaps through the years. For your Aerosedan, I was always impartial to factory full wheel disks like '54 Chevy, '55/'56 Chevy, or 58-62 Corvette....if you can afford them. Looks like you're off to a great start, and with black primer, can always contrast wheels, caps, rings with about any color.

 

The picture is old I have a 55 rearend in mock up right now and got a set of rims from @cavman here on the hamb great guy!!! The hamb is great I found the rearend from another cool guy here on the hamb. @Tracy Nicholson

 

Well cool!! You're on your way to 5 lugs all around! Baby moons and trim rings, or any Chevy dog dish/poverty cap from '55 on will be up to you! Contrasting wheel color.....you'll be set! Go Man Go!

 

Another option is do what I did on my Chevy II. No hubcap, open wheel with chrome lug nuts and a trim ring. Center hub was painted a charcoal color for a bit of contrast. The trim rings I used are probably O/T as they're newer "rally" style but you could go with a more rounded style or the earlier type as others have shown.
Those Aerosedans like yours are sleek looking cars - good luck with your project.
