Hello one an all , putting together a 33 pick up . using a big truck grill shell, rad neck does not come up far enough thought hole , could be the top tank . the shell seems not to fit the rad well, so we will try another rad . are there any differences in the pick-up , big truck shells??? we are using stock Henry flathead rads. also interested in a good windshield frame.. thanks......
The grille is the same. What front crossmember are you using? Are the bottom sides of the shell hitting the frame before the neck pokes through the hole, or do you have pictures of this? The neck itself only has to stick up like a half inch from the tank to make it through the shell.
Thanks I have a sratch build frame that had stamped rails that someone else build for another 34 car that was to have a mustang 2 & sbc ,that will come out has I have a super bell axle with hair pins an a 40 mercury flatty. also a model a cross member , I am going to measure my 34 coupe( stock) frame to make sure all is well when the mustang member comes out.the shell seems to be very tight with about 1/8 clearance . will be able to tell more with the orther rad installed . just want to make sure the shells are the same to start with. thanks ....
