I did a search for DuBont motors to see if anything came up and the only thing was a post from Ryan showing this photo asking if anyone knew anything about them.

Continued and finished:

1942 at a Dodge plant that was furiously cranking out trucks for the Army.

 

Somebody put a hopped up motor in this car!

 

To the right of the drag strip was a oval track for dirt cars, it was paved in the 80's. That pic is of the dirt track flooded.

At one time there was both a drag strip for cars and boats side by side Fremont. Theres a thread here on the hamb dedicated to the subject.
