Some of my family's photos from Venezuela in the 50's

 

In the Mid-60s, many were sold in competion with VW Bug and also Simcas, but were found to be lacking in quality and durability. A friend of mine in High School had a nearly new one, I remember the plastic door handle broke off, and Bill used a 10 d nail in the stub to open the door. I liked the earlier ones, easier to work on, French cars need constant care.

 

Simcas were a piece of junk. I had a 1956.

I bought a vintage toy box there for my kids - beautifully made by a loving dad or grandpa - now that they're 18 and 20 years old, I suppose it's time to pass it along to someone with little ones.
