What's the bore & stroke ? Nice porting, but the crank looks kind of flimsy,,, Might check with the guys at "SMOKSTAK.com. More pic's,,is that a carb with it ?
I'd say modified t block with shortened a crank in it. If you check out the mtfca forum you'll see other t blocks modified that way. Ed Winfields 2 up 2 down had similar ports.
In looking at pictures of model T's on the net your block looks like a T except for the rectangular ports, as all the T's are round. But the T's have the same half moon water p***ages on each end of the block like yours. Now I would say you have a modified T block.
It's a model T, it has two valve doors & provision for a generator so that makes it around a 1919. It's been highly modified / ports / valve size. The crank is a model A, a popular conversion to put in a T block.
Leave it to Mr. Eastwood to spoil the fun! The block was done by the late Jerry Sherman. Pretty stoked to get such a cool bit of socal speed history. Will have my work cut out dealing with the main caps and bolts though. Thoughts?
Dan McEachern makes nice main caps for the A crank conversion, I have them in one of my engines. He also make other stuff for T's, timing gears, safety hubs & more.
