I was in one of my out buildings and found this transmission IMG_20170423_113140448.jpg IMG_20170423_113136472.jpg IMG_20170423_113131697.jpg IMG_20170423_113127178.jpg . Trying to figure out what year it is. Know it's ford and not Model A looks like a V8 trans, but can't make out a vin. Can anyone help?

Yeah that's what I was thinking too. If it is it's worth some money to the right guy.

Well, I don't KNOW that it isn't.........just looked a little smallish to me. Maybe scrape the crust off and take some measurements.........

There is usually a number stamped on the bell housing top where the dirt appears to be scraped off. Also a number cast on the side of the 'box, and another on the top cover. Together these should add up to a model and year.

There's 70 + years of crud stuck to it so I'm not 100% sure. I think it's the little V8-60 three speed from 1937-39. If the top cover has four bolts that would confirm it. If six bolts then it will be a variation of the 36-39 toploader.
