Art & Inspiration Do you have a vintage gas pump?

This isn't mine. I just built the interior. It's an old pole barn converted into a house. This is the main living room. There's a bedroom on top of the Flying A station and another on the barber shop / store. My brother-in-law is severely addicted to collecting junk.

 

I would hate to have to dust all that!

 

I have a Wayne pump outside,and a few inside.

 

its a fake made out of water tanks but cool

 

Here is how I got my pump home.
Went to Sonoma Ca to visit a friend driving this crappy Saturn. He introduced me to a friend who had this 1941 Bennett gas pump for $200.00. So, where there is a will there is a way. We strapped it to the roof and I drove about 10 hours back home to Oregon. Got a lot of justifiably funny looks on the freeway.

This one sets my my garage....

 

Here's a few of mine. The really muddy Octogon shape visible I just picked up yesterday for free. It's rough, but I'd be too after all its been through. The other pic with a visible and has a ba 88 pump in behind another I got about 5 years ago for a crisp 20. And the white gulf one in front was free about 30 years ago. There was a really nice Sinclair sign and parts of another pump in the same spot, but I didn't have a place to put the sign (about 20' long) so I left them....what was I thinking?

Come to think of it...I've got 3 threads covered here.....gas pumps, vintage trailer (sort of), and minibike.

My home in West Georgia. Lawnmower bldg dressed as a Pure Oil Gas Station, ...kinda.

Well....when the kids got out of boot camp where they were sent after breaking windows out of the trucks/cars at the old farmstead.....they came back that next day and set the old house/barn/garage on fire - burning up my old gas pump - along with most of the palace....had the cover off stashed away....so I still have that - does it count ? Maybe I have a picture from when I found and acquired it....somewhere......and they got got for the fire too !

 

Just got this G&B pump this week. Taken down from the original spot it was put up in the late 20s. On an old ranch.

I just got this G&B Sinclair for payment for some extencieve machine work. Ill be starting restoration soon.
