I'm changing the 3 speed in my 32 5 window to an S10 5 speed as that seems the best way to go and use the Cornhusker adaptor. Anyone got any photos showing how they modified the original K member to suit the transmission? I think the S10 is the smallest of the T5's and means the K member cutting is as little as possible. Thanks for any advice. Neighbour Dave
The frame already had some torch work done when I got it, so it wasn't so bad on the heart to clean it up. It would have been really hard to cut a nice original K member for a T5.
Chassis Engineering center mounting kit for '32 ford ES 2132. You will have to cut off the bar on the bottom of the T5 case that the anti chatter rods were fastened to. You will have to cut a fair amount out.
Thanks for the photos, appreciated and nice workmanship, good job! Yes you are right about the K member but the 3 speed is murder to drive as we are 350 miles away from anything so the wee flattie is screaming on the motorway (freeway).
Have you given any thought to a Mitchell overdrive? http://mitchelloverdrivemfg.com/products/model-a-overdrive/ Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Thanks yes have thought about that, comments seem to be its a finicky thing to operate. Thanks for replying.
Check out Cory Taulberts thread on the build and update on his 32 5 window. He has just fitted a T5 in his coupe and is planning on detailing the mods necessary to do the job and minimising the "damage" to the frame.
