So I simply posted a thank you in the general forum a few weeks ago thanking you all for the help that you unknowingly offered me. I'm restoring a horse trailer and while it's not a car, it's still a metal thing with wheels and a license plate. In searches I had performed, this site kept coming up with the info I was looking for. Because of many of you guys, I was encouraged to use Rustoleum and got the paint/hardener/thinner ratio, which thinner was better, HVLP pressure discussions and all sorts of stuff. In short, the success of my almost completed paint job was due MOSTLY to you guys. A little youtube, and a group on facebook, but the majority of the best info I got was from your discussions I posted up a big thank you and what did I get? Not a hey welcome or nothing. My thread got deleted because it's not a car. I get that it's not a car. But what the deleter didn't get was that the thread basically was saying "Hey, other people read your stuff and find your discussions very helpful" But someones rude. So while I still am thankful for the rest of you, I am going to bow out of this board entirely because even though 95% of the success I've had in restoring my nasty cruddy horse trailer is credited to ya'll .... your forum leaders are rude. Thanks guys - except for the thread deleter. You are rude. Way to encourage people to join and participate *THUMBS*
I have probably had 50 posts or threads deleted. Best not to take it personally. I work on horse trailers and tow vehicles, too. A few of my close friends are trainers, and trail ride leaders. We "work trade" repairs for rides for me and the wife. Pasture pals and furkids make life livable.
50 posts or threads deleted,Ha,you must not try hard enough! I would think I'm batting 300 by now. HRP Sorry you feel like the Mods are rude, sometimes they are but this site has specific rules and I haven't seen anything about horse trailers. HRP Rule #6. Was your thread about something other than traditional hot rods and customs? Aside from a few "sidebar" topics that interest the staff here, we don't allow off topic posts. Your definition of "traditional" might differ from ours. That's fine. However, this is our forum and it's our definition that the forum is run off of.
It's all good, if you had something deleted it was most likely against the rules, wrong place or whatever, they are there for a reason, don't take offense, I am glad that someone is checking and reviews posts,it is in the long and short run best for all, Have a great day, Truckintom
