Those are some serious fins on the '59 Buick but the winner for the longest fins would have to 1963-ford-thunderbird-front.jpg be a '61,2,3 Thunderbird. From the very front of the car to the rear. Can't think of another car that would be longer. Ford never seemed to go for tall fins however.

I remember seeing the neon signage for the South Seas in West Hartford and thinking it was so exotic and neat, a place where only grown-ups went; so I settled for the Toy Chest instead.

I can be your drivin' wheel
We could make those tires squeal
Ooo I like the way it feels
Takin' it one fin over the line

(and no, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band didn't write it this way!). I doubt 4 fins would work either! Gary

Looks like Radio Gardner working around the supercharger on Duke Nalon's car. And check out that tall left rear tire; Novis used 20" wheels to help with tire wear due to the car being so heavy.

The video has 2 different races on it. The 37 car crash was a sportsman or modified race. Don't follow stock cars so don't know what the correct term is/was.

Springfield Motors still there & looks the same. Clarence Schere on the right was the owner, his son runs it now. Frank Anderson the quintessential used car salesman on the left 18402852_1343001755816094_1519308511412167780_n.jpg . I bought my first '57 Chevy from him in 1966.

^^They carried the little Opels too. Cool. I like to see the European jobs amongst the big boys.
