HOT DAM, Bruce I have died & gone to heaven...The 371 blower is the tits!!!!!!!!!!!! now I want to hear it run with that hufffffffer on top.
You just keep pulling shit out of the bag dude!

 

So I figured out that when you drop an axel they get narrower. That makes the tie rod to long. So I put it in the lathe and cut around two inches off. After I cut it I then realized I cut the left hand thread side like a dummy. But it's a good thing my lathe can spin both ways. I figured out the threads are a 24 tpi. So I got down and cut new left hand threads. I also reamed the inside and pressed in a new plug.

FOR ALL those who don't know a tie rod is hollow ol Henry ford knew that a tube is stronger than a solid round. So now the front end is done. More to come later.

 

I just don't know if the plug is to keep grease out of the tube or to add strength to the threaded area so when you tighten the tie rod ends you don't crush the tube. I'm gonna guess so you don't crush the tube.

 

Well Dennis before I can run the blower I will have to save about 10 grand and talk a lot more with dale on how to set it up correctly. But thy ol hypersonic sure is asking when it can get BLOWEN!!!!!!!!

 

Well I was wondering about that myself and almost PMed Dale and asked him what all you needed to do to run it on your motor. Then I thought hell I bet Bruce has already asked him about it.
Sure does look cool on top that motor.....

It's on the trailer, that trailer literally is made for a Model T/A, had a hard time getting it on the trailer.
I'm glad that I had s set of 21's because those 750's would never have cleared. Will mount them when we hit the lake. Will see if she drives then?????
Looking forward to seeing Elmer's smile as Hypersonic unleashes her speed in the lake. .

Working on getting it to idle. She's being stubborn... Don't pay any attention to all the wires as it's still a mad scientist laboratory. More to come later. And my kids were yelling that something fell off if you see the video. It was a plastic cap off a rattle cap that was on the cowl. Kids are funny
