Bare door gl*** seals in channel '39-'40. A steel frame surrounds gl*** '41 on. Backlight has a potmetal frame until sometime in '40-'41 when lockstrip rubber is used.

I found this out the hard way when I had my "46" - it was really an earlier year cab but i didn't know until I found out about the pot metal window frame. Took me quite awhile to find one too.

i had a few of those years trucks/parts. the forty i had did not have a hinge mounted mirror. it used a bracket that mounted through holes above the window. i always thought this was 1940 only. can someone confirm? 182610_Front_3-4_Web.JPG like this truck.

41 was the last year for the window frame on the rear. 39-40 the side gl*** had no frame around them 41-46 had frames. 39-40 defroster vents are different than 41-46 vents. I have never seen a factory mounted mirror like the on above even on coes. I am thinking it is dealer/aftermarket. I have a lot of these trucks including COEs. If you need to know anything else I can usually either supply the answer or go look at the trucks in storage to find the answer.

Those holes are fairly common here on big farm trucks, but it's hard to find the hardware.
