The First Holden car to come off the GM New Zealand assembly line - 1957. As noted in the picture over 140,000 vehicles had been assembled prior to that, starting in 1926.

A restoration project in the 1960s, Masterton area of New Zealand. Contrary to what is on the photo that is a 1935 Terraplane being towed by a Humber Hawk.

 

A 1957 (Plymouth-based) DeSoto Diplomat somewhere on the West Coast of the South Island of New Zealand. Photo date no later than mid 1964 when the plates changed to black.

 

Even though the cars are from the 1930s the licence plate tells us this pic was taken in New Zealand in late 1950s.

 

The European Hotel in Charleston, an abandoned gold mining town on the West Coast of the South Island of New Zealand. Built in the 1860s it was finally pulled down in the late 1960s. 1938 Chrysler 8 in New Zealand when near new. Very few of these would have been imported. Note right hand drive.

 

Masterton, New Zealand in 1954. Still plenty of pre WW2 cars. Vauxhall on the left, Morris in the street, '37 Ford on the right. The truck is an Austin.

 

Masterton again, 1959 this time. The car park of a sports event. Some near new cars in this one but still a few from pre WW2.

1920 first ever Grand Prix

 

Getting some air...

 

Gulfport, FL - Traffic crash from the 1960's. Chief Roth is directing traffic in the background. Occurred at Gulfport Blvd and 58th St. when an elderly woman drove into a power pole that was being hauled by a truck. She was not injured.

 

RIP Roger Moore.
An iconic actor, I loved him in The Saint.
