Event Coverage So who all is going to the NHRA Hot Rod Reunion 2017?

Yeah, I know that it's two months away, but I just received my entry packet #286.
As always I am looking forward to one of my all time favorite events.
I hope that NHRA doesn't mess with it as I heard they did at the CHRR.
Look forward to seeing some of my fellow H.A.M.B.ers there!

I'm going. The Hot Rod Power Tour will be in town the same weekend.

 

I'll be going again with several club members.

 

I got invited back so looks like I will be there.

I will be going again and camping this year as always
We will be coming in on Wed and leaving on Sunday morning.
I am still unsure what we will be taking as of yet. If worst comes to Worst The wagon will be ready again

The plan is to take the 39 1/2 ton and the other guys going in a 55 Bird and a 56 Safari.

Well it is a little over a month
I hope I get a day off of work between now and then

 

if I don't at least I may have a little extra money for the swap meet

NOT EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED TO DO BUT IF I WANTED TO HAVE ANY FUNDS THAT IS THE WAY IT HAS TO BE...

 

Well enloe I'm planning on showing up with the Green Olds again. I'm sure I'll catch up to you and your crew somewhere! joe

 

LOOKING FOWARD TO IT

 

We have been trying to get a room for three months. Always stayed at the La Quinta before but they were sold out. Yesterday we finally found a room-----$220 a night. We will keep trying other hotels right up until our cancelation date. If anybody has a room they don't need let me know.

 

I camp at the track so I don't have to wait in the line getting into the track in the morning.

 

we tent camp at the campground. about 30 a night if you don't have to have a power hookup and you are right next to the track

No I didn't go. I was planning on having a swap meet booth this time but it didn't happen.
I guess I will bring some more totes of old magazines with me to BG and sell some out of the back of the wagon.

Thanks Joel. I'll retake that picture when the '40 is finally "done". I know you wanted to make the trip, but making paint prep progress on your '40 will be well worth it.

 

The cowl lead is more difficult than I anticipated, so, I took the rest of the trim to Squeelys polishing yesterday.

there are still a few low spots right at the corner and over-all low right above where the lower hinge is.You can see the Sharpie lines on the fender mount area.

 

Its getting closer

 

Hope to get started putin the car back together by the first of the week.
