    Friend of mine is restoring a 63 SD with a very rare aluminum Chassis that he obtained from a SD collector.

    You can get reproductions of the aluminum exhaust manifolds these days. I know a guy who is running a set of them on his car. He had them coated with Jet-Hot or similar product so they hold up to use on the street, they haven't melted yet. :)

    So that frame is finally going to be put under a car - I've seen photos of it, but figured it would always be just something to look at and never be actually used. Considering the strength of the steel Swiss Cheese frames, I'd think the aluminum one is going to be pretty flexible.

    Local guy supposedly had one here in the center of CT. This would have been around 1972. He was in an older bunch of guys and I would over hear them talking about it.
