I think he is going to open the upper plenum so the shear plates I mailed him will fit.
Something like this but more old school.

They would go on to match the angle of the base of the carb as it sets on the manifold.

School me on this, is this to make the ram plenum smaller and have a faster more direct airflow ?

The idea is to help stop any reversion in the intake from reaching the base of the carb.

I see....the shear plates wont help if you like dropping thing down the carbs.

  11. Norb, is that the anti-washer screen? :p

  12. center squirters are fun. I bet the screen will reduce total flow by 20 percent for one carb. then multiply that times two. that's some big wire. I know a guy at Donovan engineering that did flow tests on Stromberg 97s with screens on them. the screens he was using were much finer wire. that's the figure he recorded.

The 1/8" screen keeps me from dropping my carb nuts down the intake, also should keep the Mustang parts from getting sucked down the intake. :D
By the time the doors blow off, it will happen be behind me. :p

Idea came from Tuning a Tunnel Ram / Grumpys Performance Garage site.

Not been to the track yet, want to test with screens and with out screens to see how much top end mph changes.

Air/fuel ratio is good at slow speeds, Got a slight bog when you mash it from dead idle but that might be gone when
    up on the converter.

Have changed to center hung bowls with track floats since that photo. 20170524_223329.jpg

You do have a lot of space for a/f to brake up.....I will be watching.
I try not to drop things....but only on Mondays I can't hang on to anything.....must be why my back hurts on Tuesday.

    technical question for you guys...

Serious question...does anyone see any issues mounting a 9 inch pie crust slick on a 7 inch wheel?

Also, does all of this horsepower making hocus pocus matter when the Shaker hasn't made a complete pass since 2014? Just asking for friend...

Thank you Jackson...I thought it would be okay, but I know there are a lot of smart guys on here that can either correct me or give me piece of mind.

    Thank you.

I'll send a little video of the car,and how much difference the hocus pocus makes....:)
I'm just worried the shock towers are gonna buckle if it keeps doing this.[emoji15]

Let's just say it works pretty good, and you might wanna buy a couple more pullies if you wanna run with us.[emoji41]

Gotta run, gonna be late for work if I don't hit the road.
