    And James,did you get the super secret double mojo intake on the black car yet?
    Dad and I are really looking forward to seeing you work your magic with it this year.
    One of Dad's good buddies is totally nuts over 409 cars,and he just about lost his mind when we showed him some pictures of yours in the staging lanes from Friday night last year:)

    :cool::cool:Happy Birthday, 55 Chevy. :cool::cool:

    Super 55 Meltdown 2015.jpg Super 55 Meltdown 2015 Rear.jpg

    On Monday May 30, 1955, my 210 2 door sedan rolled down Chevrolet's assembly line in Tarrytown New York. From roughly comparing the daily production numbers to my VIN, it was probably during the early afternoon.

    It also was Memorial Day for 1955. Before 1972, Memorial Day was always May 30, irregardless what day of the week it was. However, for some reason, GM observed the holiday that year, on Thursday June 2, 1955.

    While my 55 was being built in Tarrytown N.Y. this was happening in Indianapolis Indiana.

    By the way, for anyone with a 55, 56, or 57 Chevy, here is a link to where the production date info can be found.

    Glad I'm not the only one running behind, hope to dyno the new bullet for the stude on the 8th. Hoping for 650 HP, more would be ok too. Then gotta build some new headers. Can't believe nobody makes headers for Buick powered Studes. Go figure, thought it was common as a small block Chevy in a 32 Ford coupe. Gonna paint this on the side of the car (HARWICK HEDDERS cause nobody makes hedders for yer oddball crap) 10088.jpeg 10091.jpeg

    All star Performance Stainless wire screen part # all 22265

    Summit Racing part # aff-all22265 is 12" x 36" with 1/8" openings for $14.99 .

    Cut the screen square with tin snips to fit just inside the carb. stud bolts, then put a bead of silicone on each screen side of two 1/16" carb. gaskets.
    Clamp the screen between gaskets using two carb. spacers let dry overnight.
    I used tin foil to keep the squished silicone off the other side of gaskets.
    Don't use a big bead of silicone, ( like I did :oops: ) otherwise there is a lot of clean up of the over flow on screen side.

    Sorry for the delay, was not home and had no computer available.
