There were a few of these made back in the day. I think that the movie car was the Huish Special, which appeared in Mechanix Illustrated:

The two chrome gadgets in front of the windshield, air intake at the left shoulder and the blister on the side all match the Crooked Road car:

The bumper with overriders is different, and fits the car better.

It is amazing how they avoided making compound curves and still looked good.

Finely got around to reading Gregor Grant's 500cc Racing. A good read and surprised to see that Colin Strang was a kiwi (technically).

Longstone Tyre's Dougal was at play at Oulton Park this past weekend.
This is what remains of the clutch from the Ford Model A powered GN "PIGLET". 19105641_1480575368675835_6453830487695418689_n.jpg

Thanks. I found it on ebay. It is in Iowa, 1000 mile drive each way for me to pick it up. I'll go up next week. This is the Sports model. It came out when Morgan changed to the 3 speed tranny that allowed the rear wheel to be the same as the fronts. That then let to having a spare wheel. They jut bolted it onto the back of the Beetleback but that was ugly so they built this design which turned into the familiar Barrelback in 1936.
