  6. Looks great! What's going on with the rear end? Is that the stock location? Sorry, if this has been addressed I missed it!

  7. Yes I believe that's the stock location with fenders on. I have another torque tube and drive shaft I just need to cut them and have the drive shaft re splined. And set it back. I also need to put in a model a or t spring and get rid of the curved 32 spring.

Incase anybody out there wants to make a adjustable throttle rod out of original throttle rods you cut them down and tap them with 10-32 tap and die. .190 shaft = 10/32 tap and die. .190 shaft is stock A model and 32-48 or so. So buy you a 10/32 tap and die and get to work.

I've heard that question is one of the most frequently asked by rodders. I think I heard that !

I should have flown in so I could at least see the resurrection of 1947.

Bruce, this is the most exciting thing when someone takes the first ride. You just have to be one happy camper.

  19. The hood makes the car . . . keep that sucker on it! Kind of like when I put the fenders back on my Cab - just exactly what the car needed (being it is a Cab) . . . completely changed the look.

  21. What a great thread this has been.
First, for being a way to HONOR your granddad, and also a primer on building a period correct roadster.
Well done, Sir, on both counts.

  28. image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg Well elmirage was a bust we got out there late. By the time we got there it was 35-40 mph tail wind on the lake. Grandpa almost blew away. To much moon dust flying in the air. It was like a ghost town out there. They cancelled the runs around 11 or so. We played alittle with the car but the wind was just too much. See y'all at LarsLars
