Often it's the trivial stuff that differentiates your car from everyone else's! I think they're cool too!

I understand 75$ covers the car and driver. What's the cost for the crew?

Yeah it's usually the shitty condition of my cars that make me a standout in a crowd. I'm a ford guy but I dig mopars. It's a nod to the dodge and Plymouth guys. Cut em out of 57 fury hubcaps

Gammz from what I understand there will be some match racing with the teenagers this year! We are going to have to find a time where us old guys can match race! My luck it will be bench racing!

I've read that the Damn Yankee was once the worlds fastest pick up. Something like over 200 mph in 1966-1967. Nitro fired 427!! Dave Pinta was the owner then went onto funny cars.
The kid and I love that car!!

Here is some cool news....the guys from Welder's Supply are going to have a repair vehicle on site that can weld steel, aluminum and stainless along with a tent with tools and such. We hope this can keep a few guys racing if they have some bad luck.

Funny story...the Welders supply guy said he read out posts here and they have been practicing welding multiple shims to spring perches...they heard that "Shiminy Crickets" was coming back this year and they wanted to try and keep him racing...

On a serious note...very cool of them to do this for you guys!

James - you are right. If you break it down, it is about $1.35 per hour to watch racing at the Meltdown Drags. I don't think you can find a better deal in the world. Keep in mind that this is non-stop racing all day, it isn't one of those wanna be reality tv events where you have like 50 cars doing an elimination thing. I had a buddy drive to one of those and he was pissed that he had to pay like $20 to get in and then watch like a total of 50 races, with ridiculous breaks between rounds and a ton of people standing at the starting line. You get about 50 races to watch in any given hour at the Meltdown.

Trailer is done.Just have to mount the spare tire.
Brake controller is installed and wired in the truck.
Still need to finish bleeding brakes and a couple other small things and we are ready to go:)
Best part:It looks like my oldest Son is coming with me this year.[emoji4]
