Here's my newly acquired '53 Bel Air Sport Coupe... Powerglide.
Pretty much original, except for '54 235 and split exhaust from homebuilt split/grafted exhaust manifold and old lacquer repaint, guessing from the '60's.

What are you guys using for accelerator linkage. 4 bbl. V8?

 

Before I just used an aftermarket pedal with a lokar cable.
I'm switching to 3x2, but will probably use the same.

I used the Lokar "eliminater' set up which works nice because it does not go through firewall. Easy install.

new to the HAMB so hello all. Here is the ‘52 I just picked up. All original, 235 w/ powerglide and 74,000 on it. Plans are to toss in drop spindles, 3” blocks out back, split manifold w/ dual exhaust, dual carb set up and some wide whites. Be racking up miles on the back roads of Minnesota

 

That's my ride: '53 with 350 V8 and TH700, Thumpr Cam, Flat Pistons, Cherry Bombs, air ride, custom build frame, 8 cm chop. Cutomised in Poland, Eastern Europe greetings!

Tell us about that power steering box setup, and the headers you're using. Those seem to be what a lot of guys have questions about. Should have kept my 51 Bus Coupe! I am Butch/56sedandelivery.

Just now ran across this thread, I have owned several over the years from '49 thru '54's. Also Pontiac's and Oldsmobile's of those years, always have liked the body lines. I don't have any '49 thru '54 Chevy's right now but I do have a '51 Olds 88. Here are some off my screen saver...

 

My high school (class of '80) car; a '53 Bel Air hardtop.
It was lowered a bit, nosed & decked and had seven grille teeth.
I paid for it (as well as tires, paint, chrome & upholstery) by pumping diesel fuel after school at a truck stop for $2.35/hour.

 

just sprayed some paint on it yesterday was flat black now I can see all the small dents I didn’t see before
