You can still make the trip. I think Wendover is closer to you than San Mateo. 50 years ago I might have been tempted with everything you have packed. I out grew it.I'm packing blood thinners, and lots of other pills that are not any fun.

As you might have guessed I think I'm hilarious, at seventy I had to slow up a little. Seriously, its to bad this can't be a road trip movie, the salt contraption sounds amazing and will require full coverage and more pictures, we should be getting daily coverage.

Hopefully Brian will post pictures this time. Last time he took a herd of pictures and posted two selfies. Room for improvement there.

I will start a thread this time, and keep running updates.

There are a ton of OT LSR cars up there. I don't want to run afoul of the bosd-man by posting those.

I will let the moderators do their job this time, instead of chickening-out.

OK we are good to go. Mo6. It's around $260 for 5 nights. Lots better than SpeedwWeek.

Rich is a bit under-the-weather. My insomnia won't quit. That combo won't add up to good things.

We have elected to be responsible and cancel this outing.

We will see what's up for Speed Week.

It's my fault we didn't go. It was just to hard for me. Next week I hope to see if anything can be done to improve my performance.

Don't sweat it, Rich. Your health is more important than some old cars, and a whole mess of salt.

See if you can get tuned-up, and we'll run in August!

You've probably been going balls to the wall to too long, its hard to take a break but thats what we all need to do.

    WHAT?!

They let me start the alcohol motor, once, like two years ago. My ears are still ringing.

I am wishing the best for the both of you. Not too sound too gushy, but both of you give good, sound advice here. Hope things work out for you in August.

Not to gushy. We have to look after each other. Very few people in this world get what we do, and what is important to us.

We might bitch and fight on the board, but I would like to think that when it cam down to it, we have each other's backs.

I am told the course was very rough. Quite hard to drive the car. I guess Bob made only one pass. I am also told that there were only 21 entries. I think they ended it today and will not run tomorrow. So I guess we didn't miss much.

Rich, Do they grade the course for every event, or just run on whatever is there? Bob

I bought a pair of electronic noise canceling ear muffs at a gun show the other day that let you hear voices fine but chop everything off at 85 Decibels. My little black rifle is a whole lot louder than the ones I carried in the service. They might be pretty good in the pits.

They drag the course to try to knock down the ridges. And they fill the larger pot holes. Largely it is what nature gives you. Bob went 260something. Pretty disappointed. .

I hope they can get the course smoothed out before speed week. It will be what it will be. JC
