Hot Rods Slowly getting there

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Bruce Fischer, Jul 10, 2017.

  1. Guys I don't know if you all saw my last thread it was so far down the list here but heres the up date. I did get the roof painted on the 56 Chrysler I painted it Wimbledon White.{I did my 64 station wagon in it years ago and just liked the color}My shoulder has still been hurting since the fall I took on it a few weeks back.Painting the roof really did the right shoulder in. I cant really do anything with it now. The x ray showed it wasn't the rotater cuff so it must be a torn muscle or leigmenent.{I hope its nothing bad where I cant use the shoulder for a while}I finally go see the Ortho .Dr. Wed. It looks like I wont be painting the rest of the car for a while. Heres a shot for those of you that didn't see it.Thanks to you all. Bruce. 004.JPG

sorry for the injury, glad it was not the rotator cuff. My significant other had that surgery and it took
several months for it to completely recover, and a friend had it a month later and never recovered
more than 60% range of motion . Follow the dr's directions, get physical therapy if the DR says to,
and we hope to see you back at it soon. Mean while you have a good excuse for the wife.....

Don't you have a left hand??!! Geesh! I want to see that car painted!! LOL, just kidding with ya, Bruce!

Sorry to hear your shoulder is out of commission. Use heat if it is the muscle and cold if it is the tendon/ligament.

  9. NashRodMan I did most of the priming with the left hand but don't want to mess up the real paint job.If the new is bad about the shoulder .I might let my stepson take 005.JPG a shot at painting it. Bruce.

know someone that can do the finish paint for you? not as cheap as you doing it but, will need to prep again if wait too long. or, could take to a place like MAACO. better than trying to rush the healing process that only makes it all take longer.

Good luck with the shoulder ailments. I had mine done on May 9th and I have better range of motion than I did before surgery but I'm no where near where I need to be as far as range of motion goes. Doc told me 2 weeks ago this is a 4 month healing time so I guess I'm halfway there. My pain pills are my best friend first thing in the morning but not as many throughout the day now. I've got a fresh built 235 that is waiting on me to finish it up so I'm chomping at the bit to get back at it. Patience grasshopper! Your roof looks great and let the young guy have a go at that paint job.....if I had some help here that 235 would be running for sure!

  25. My right shoulder is a shambles. Easier to name the good things about it than the bad. I did an extensive rehab for it and opted out of the surgery. I can get my with it for now but eventually have to fix it.
