Dennis the Menace and I are the same age. We were both born in 1951, and today is my actual birthday.

That is EXACTLY how my Mom used to dress me. Some days, it'd be coveralls, but I assure you I was just as big a pest in asking questions as Dennis ever was.

My first interaction with a cop: Decided to be "Mommie's Little Helper"and figured out how to run clothes thru the wringer of her Maytag. Yup, ran my skinny arm up right to the armpit. However Mom did it I forget, next thing I know, there's a Pontiac City cop, who gets my arm unsprung, wraps it in a thick roll of Pontiac Press newspapers, and I'm whisked off to the Pontiac General hospital in a 1951 Pontiac.

It was f****** awesome! I'm pretty sure it didn't hurt either.
