Frame updating can be painful...My '27 Touring just fit so nice on its suicide 'A' frame, but I had my doubts. T Tourings (especially '26 & '27) are long in profile, and when I rolled it outside for a 'looksee'...Crap! It looked thinner than my wallet!
So I says..."Hmmm...I could use my 'T' running board aprons...to 'fill the gap' and hide the narrow 'A' rails!"
Or... Rob my '27 Highboy roadster of its Deuce rails, NOT!!!
But it's one 'unit' now, and the aprons can be trimmed to look natural, not just a 'filler'. Cool, really.
A row of Chip's louvers would look tasty...
Can't beat the FIT of a '27 on an 'A' frame, though. Just tweak it 'til it's beautiful.

That's what I 'tol' the kat' in post #131. Probably a little late, as he already did it.
Hey, Toltekatl: What in the world are those spindles off of? (Noted the upper bores/bosses for spindle steering arms...) P.S.: They're not Ford F-1s.

  5. It's all Model A. I'm saving the other front end and T frame I built for a future project. Since scoring this Model A frame I've also scored just about everything else for it. Model A axle, brakes and steering. Just wanted to rebuild/refurbish everything before final assembly.

  6. Model A to go with the Model A front axle and spindles. I'm running an all Model a chassis instead of the T frame and F1 front end I started with. I will be running Model A mechanical brakes with the Deluxe Flathead Ted floater kit as well.

  7. Parking brake shaft installed. I also started tackling rebuilding the rear brakes. Time to order more parts. 20170522_175814.jpg

  8. Service brake cross shaft installed, picked up the rear backing plates from the machine shop and painted them. I also installed the speedo gear assembly to the torque tube. 20170525_181232.jpg 20170525_171318.jpg 20170525_172016.jpg

  9. I finished rebuilding the rear Model A brakes with the Flathead Ted floater kit. Still need do final adjustments and parking brake. So I guess I'm not technically finished. 20170529_124226.jpg 20170529_124513-1.jpg
