I think I can help with this problem:
Flivver was a horse and he was driving cars - so the car was called "A Flivver car" - short form "A Flivver".
Hope I could solve this confusion. Now I think everything is clear.

You need to write to GOGGLE. They say it is a car or an airplane that Henry Ford tried to build.

In defense of the lady in the Corvette, there are no "No Smoking" signs in sight. So she didn't know .... Wasn't taught. Ignorant of the fact.

Funny, as soon as I saw the "STATE POLICE" plate, I thought this was Connecticut. I think they still had some in use in the late 60's, early 70's. I remember the larger one in the shape of the state seal with it written on it.

I just deleted about 15 back and forth drama conversations posts.......

    Back to cars...... fellas.

  20. I seem to remember it being on the way to Gaylord from Detroit. There was this place and the "Underground Forest" near Gaylord.

  21. Kid I grew up with - somehow fell in love with a gal from wherever town the "Mystery Spot" , I thought it was near Adrian. Anyway, he busted his pelvis while riding on the back of a Harley 3-wheeler in the
    high-school parking lot.

And begged me into taking him there so he could maintain the relationship.

It was a cool place. They had a "house" rigged so that it seemed balls rolled up hill, crooked stuff seemed level, and so on.

I'll go look the Mystery Spot up.

  22. Mystery Spot....upper peninsula. Makes sense since we have relatives in Carp lake.

"The Mystery Spot is located 5 miles west of St. Ignace and the Mackinac Bridge on Highway US-2. If you are coming from south of the Mackinac Bridge, take exit 344B, then travel west 5 miles on Highway US-2 and we will be on the right hand side. If you are traveling Southbound on I-75 approaching the bridge, take exit 344, then travel 5 miles on Highway US-2 and we will be on the right hand side."

  24. Yup. I've been to that one as a kid.
Turns out the one I'm thinking of that is near Adrian & called "Mystery Hill".
    Same concept.

  25. Another of the same concept here up the road called the Oregon Vortex....hard to see in the trees.... OR Vortex.jpg
