    There was a an identical south side Tee Pee too. Our "cruise circuit " in the '60s ran from the Tee Pee down East street to Steak& Shake, a few blocks more to the Southern Circle, down US 31 to Jerry's in Greenwood, then to The Pole in Speedway. They all had big lots that you could cruise through.

    All gone now, station was last a flower shop and the car wash was last called Handy Js

    that's Broderick Crawford the actor. The program was Highway Patrol. Interesting in the last couple of years of the program he always got in the passengers side of the car and had a driver. This was because of an earlier DWI and he lost his license
