Saw this for sale locally (Rochester Craigslist) and I would have never thought of painting a Victoria white. I am kinda feeling it, kinda not, I am on the fence about this one. Do you think the color works? white, white walls, black wheels, black interior, and black top? What are your thoughts? were is link to see rest of car, I have no affiliation to this car https://rochester.craigslist.org/cto/d/1931-ford-model/6239508556.html
The black & white combo looks very formal. More like a Lincoln or other expensive car, not like a lowly Ford. IMO, it would be a very nice resto-rod, but not a hot rod.
I think it actually works except for the cartoonish back tires. Since it's a pearl white and also a pearl black on the fenders which doesn't show in the photos, I think that's where the effect is being lost. Nice street rod, but definitely not a hot rod! KK
I agree with KoolKat-57...those huge whitewalls on the rear need to be replaced with a smaller whitewall. Otherwise the color combination really works for me.
A fresh build from Las Vegas NV. Very clean and simple with hardly any miles. In saying that, the rear WW tyres needs to match the front, otherwise I like the wires and car. Drop the headlight bar and fix that shifter up by turning it around as it looks ****y that way. Are they 32 headlamp buckets, Model A buckets would soften the look IMHO? White certainly stands out from the crowd. What is the rear end and how is it set up?
The owner certainly needs to love it. A lot of work to repaint it. For me I'd go with something else. I may be old school because I am old school, just saying Sent from my SM-G550T1 using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Like I said, I am on the fence about the colors. All I know if there are some pictures of a 30-31 Victoria, I am taking a couple minutes and looking at them. I am building a 31 Vikki. It probably will not be painted white, and it will NOT have fenders, whitewalls, or oversize commercial headlights.
Smaller headlights for sure. Maybe narrow whites, or just black walls. The interior is awful plain and simple, but the white on the body doesn't offend me at all. Maybe a nice black pinstripe on the belt line and a white stripe on the fender ribs just to tie it all together?
When I look at the pictures I see that it is missing a big red gumball on the roof with some small town Police Department signs on the doors.
For the most part, a Vicky in ANY color works. But I think it would look better in a darker color. A long time ago we would say be careful buying a car that was just painted white. easy color to hide bodywork. Not saying this car is like that, that was just the saying.
Absolutely LOVE THE BLUE ONE. White looks ok. I Agree with others, Smaller rear whitewall or at least a larger front whitewall. If I owned it, Id have it painted a dark color in two years.
I was waiting for 17 clowns to jump out. Maybe I live to close to Baraboo Wisc. and the Circus World Museum.
