Just wanted to let y'all know about my recent nightmare with Gennie shifter and Streamline. We are dealers at Crushproof, so I went through the shop to order a shifter for my '62 Chevy wagon. It was crunchtime for the Round-up, so speed was of major importance. I ordered an ultra swan, and a red shift boot kit. When it showed up, it was an ultra straight, and they forgot the shift boot altogether. I called and they told me that I would either have pay for the whole thing again, or ship it back and wait. I went ahead and paid again, 'cuz there wasn't enough time to wait before the Round up. They then told me I would have to pay a re-stocking fee!!! For their fuck-up!!! I went off on the guy and he finally said they would forget the re-stocking fee. Thanks. So the swan showed up just in time, and we all know the round up kicked ass. I shipped the wrong shifter back, and patiently waited for my refund. 2 weeks went by, no refund. So I finally called them back, and they assured me I would have a refund soon. Friday morning I was leaving town, and when I checked my account, Streamline had CHARGED ME AGAIN!!!! Instead of refunding me, they went ahead and charged me another time!!! I called again furious, and they said quote " sorry, we accidentally charged another customers order to your card". Un fucking believable!!! They keep telling me they will fix it, but as of right now, my shifter cost me over $700, I'm negative in my bank account, and thanks to Streamline, I have gotten a sweet overdraft fee. I just wondered if anyone else has had any shit like this happen with these fools. Hopefully tomorrow it will be fixed. Beware of these idiots!!

man sorry to hear that. I had a screw up on my shifter but it was entirely my fault. They dealt with me very professionally and didnt charge me a restocking fee. I do know they have had some employee changes and there may in lie the problem...

Seems their best customer service guy was the HAMB's own VAPhead!
They dropped him...so that tells you something right there.

I'm not impressed and don't expect to be in the future either...

Damn, I didn't know all this. VAPhead sent me a catalog and everything, and they seemed like they would be a cool place to deal with. Sorry to hear they're going down the crapper.

Yeah...and a damn dirty deal he was given too from what I read here!
There appears to be little in the way of common sense or compassion at the top there and that tends to pass down thru a company.

Hopefully VAPhead will find himself back in the custom business on his own terms soon.
From what I've read and heard he's a stand up guy who really deserves it.

Man, I wish there would have been someone there that was cool to deal with. I keep getting the same two people, and I think they need to put down the bong and get it together.

Man,it kills me to read this.I worked for Vintage and then Streamline for a total of 13 years.I took pride in helping customers especially HAMb'ers.
If feels really weird torn between good and goddamn it.
I'm sorry for the hassle and shit,it is totally unexcusable.
Wrong charges is such a sophmore mistake,I can't image what a mess the place is now.But that was their plan, idiots and low pay.
I say call your credit card company and refuse ALL the charges.
I find myself thinking about "work" all the time and I need to tell myself,
    "I don't work there anymore" Man,un-fucking believable!

yeah i think that falls into credit card fraud. call up their fraud division and let them deal with it. i think we bitch all the time about credit card companies but it's fuckin great when u got them on your side. make sure u documented everything.

I called Streamline and asked for a catalog. It never came but their salesman called asking for an order. When I told him I never got the catalog, he promised me another which never got here. I called again and got a catalog but I am Not going to do business with them.

It really sucks to hear all this. When I ordered mine Vaphead was on vacation and still hooked me up. Got exactly what I ordered, only got charged once, and he said tell em I get a t-shirt and got a nice button up shop style shirt instead. I really like the shirt but may hafta not wear it now since hearing all this. Who ever let you go is a dipshit. !!! Maybe if everyone on the H.A.M.B. sent them an email it would get the point across.

I ordered an Ultra Swan C4 shifter a week before the Round Up and had no problems with the order. But since we are dealers those guys call like 3 times a week to just flap their jaws about jibba jabba.

I gots no time fo jibba jabba!

that fuckin sucks. about the shifter and about VAPhead gettin the boot. that guy was always SUPER helpful. he was the main reason i did business with them but after all this crap i don't think i'll take the chance again. there are too many other companies out there selling the same stuff that are willing to give you customer service too.

Crushproof are dealers too, got the catalog and price list to prove it! That didn't seem to help me out any, though. I'm glad you got your shit o.k.

    that sucks man.

  24. they blow...I guess I wont be ordering from them any time soon.

You should tell them that this issue has been posted and they wont be used as a supplier.

  25. I ordered a 16" zirgo fan and waited 3 weeks for it. called them back on a wed. and was told they forgot to process my order but it seems they got the credit card thang down. Then was told I would have it in 2-3 days, so it showed up promply on Tuesday! Seems good business to have sent it out red label, oh well, I'll give someplace else a chance next time.

ya they pissed me off I will not do biz. with them, I was going to order a three duece manifold from them and ended up getting into a argument over the price it was like 30 bucks cheaper on the web site than the price he was giving me over the phone, pretty much calling me a liar about the price.

I was in Denver a couple of weeks ago - I was planning on stopping at Streamline - but didn't. Could it be Divine intervention? I always have good luck with the guys at Parr for what it's worth.

I had the same kind of problem with a wallpaper company. I called my
credit card company and in 10 minutes the charges were taken off
my card. Call the card company and give them the details.
