No real updates been working weekend the past few. I did pick up a new band saw today 1943 DoAll. I have been looking for one for years. The only other thing I really need is a bead roller and finish my planishing hammer. Always love hauling stuff. Have a few minor things to fix. But going to leave the patina. Has some cool war stickers on it. I'm officially out of room
In the garage so if it's not magnesium and not going on a car in the next two years you will see it up for grabs on the swap meet on the 12th.

Came with a nice fence the feed attachment and a bunch of other stuff.

A lot of extra guides. I guess do all charges crazy money for these now.

Plan on putting power to it Thursday and using it to finish the rear suspension

Wall art is an essential part to every shop. I think I have had that poster for 15 years.

Do any of you guys have a good contact for anyone who rebuilds speedos preferably in the Midwest.

Then I lost my mind and started to cut and wax. Crazy how it comes back to life.

Back at it. I got the rear spring sliders tacked in. I will final weld them when I'm confident in the placement. I took a good amount of time getting them perfectly centered. I can start lining up the all the rear suspension now. I want to have it rolling again by the end of July.

Cool I have the exact same band saw. Hope you enjoy yours as much as I have mine. I've had mine a long time. BTW the car is really looking good.

Does your blade welder still work Quain?
They can get a little cranky but hard to beat when working right.

Thanks Quain. I love it. I used to have my brackets cut out on a water jet or I used the horizontal band saw with the thin little bolt on table. I'm glad I still have all my fingers. The band saw goes in top five needed tools I think. I can't believe how smooth it is. I think it was built in 43. I might come to the clay city race. Hard to go to events when I should be working on the car. Hopefully the car is done by the time you have some blown gas cl***es.

Mine still works. I bought my first blade to length though. I want to start using it though.

Had a blast at the meltdown. Had some good conversations with Greg porter and Panneton brothers. I'm going to add bump stops and travel limiters to the front end.

Thanks salty skill takes time and practice like anything. This is my hobby and p***ion. It helps get me through the week. I look at things I did 2 years ago and compare it to now and it's crazy how big of a difference there is.

I have a few good tricks up my sleeve for the rest of the car.

    Progress on the rear end.

Got the brackets welded on. Bottom tube in and started boxing with .090". Hopefully have this done by next weekend. It still needs a back brace, the rest of the boxing, spring sliders mounts, fill and drain. Going to order my axles, center section and brakes tomorrow.

Getting there. Finished boxing the ladder bar brackets connected the lower tube to the housing and got the slider brackets welded on.

Next ban brace. Shock mounts and other small details.

Good porta power, bought my blackhawk in '78 or '79, still going strong.
