Bobby had a 40 (I think) Ford that was beautiful. He was getting ready to start on a 55 or 6 Lincoln convert when he passed away
Wish I had been better back in the day taking photos, who knew, lol. Little 110 camera didn't offer much either. I usually had my video going. I started converting all of them to DVD ( winter projects) they tun out pretty decent. I have tons from KKOA and KOA shows
Is that front bumper really sticking that far out or is it an optical illusion? Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
This merc was built by and belongs to Gerald Davis, Pensacola FL Alley Cat Customs. car is named Sloopie
Sorry seems some of my posts are duplicated, gotta get used to this new (to me) format. Anyway looking for pics of Bobby Simpson's 40. In the meantime here is the original show card , hand painted, for Dean Bordner's Ford the he gave to us several years ago
Considering LOL...I love this thread also have to check out Micks and the other one you mentioned. Will see how things go !
Jim, I think you are right about the Lead East ad. I looked through SEVERAL magazines and came up with 1 ad but it just had the car hop illustration. I believe there was another ad that had the Ford.... Should be around 1984.
I assume you are thinking of the illustration I did for Lead East 1983, but it is actually a 40 Merc not a Ford. Mick
That is what I was thinking of. Thanks Mick for posting it, it was driving me nuts! Not only a Merc, but a convertible sedan (4 doors) with bumpers and the front wheel openings aren't cut up either. Oh well. I was going off memory.
