That looks REALLY good. It's fun when a project car gets to this stage.
And I wouldn't worry about a few dust nibs... I can't even see 'em from here! ;)

Well I rolled it out of the booth this morning and found some major flaws that were way too blatant and would not be addressed with color sanding and buffing. :)
No way I was happy with that :)
So.... out came the sanding blocks and I removed the defects (smoothed and leveled) and scuffed down the whole thing.
After some careful cleaning of the booth and the body (and me ;) ) it was shoot another coat, wait 5 minutes and then another coat.
The major flaws are gone and she is looking fine
    Pictures to follow later :D

Thanks Fred. I'm pretty happy with it.
The white wheels and gas tank in the bed should set it off nicely.
Not to mention the chrome ;) :)

    Thanks, It does feel great.
Especially since it is turning out well (remember I'm a welder fabricator, not really a painter)
    But learning has been fun.
I still have the little pickup bed and the transmission to paint so almost there

Also decided that the engine will get a coat along with the transmission.

    Well it's painted.
I ended up with a couple of runs because of a problem with trying to get coverage in a couple of spots.
I'm not concerned as it's an easy fix to sand them smooth and shoot a bit more paint over it.
Easy fix I'll take care of this week.

Since both of my engine stands are still doing duty holding my frame and since I don't have room to take it off the rotisserie yet I went and bought another one to use painting my engine and transmission.
    I'm getting closer :D
