Check out "The Covered Wagon" bumper sticker on the car. This is on Highway 30 west of Kearney, NE. This pic is from before they fixed it up for the Lincoln Highway anniversary a few years ago, it was looking pretty nice for that but it looks like there is not much going on there again.
When I was a kid we would stop once in a while to see what they had for souvenirs. I imagine it was quite the tourist attraction before I-80 was built a few miles south of this.

Lots of those old Willys around here got V8 (mostly SBC) trans plants when the 4 banger got tired or blown up. I knew a guy that had a 394 Olds and a hydro with the Olds rear end in a Jeepster taht was wicked as hell !!

Andy Linden's roadster with the left rear off in 1956. Marvin Pifer sitting on the wall wearing his Sam Browne belt while waiting for the #75 Commercial Motor Freight upright to be ready. I believe that might be mechanic Dizz Wilson sitting next to Pifer. Pifer passed his Rookie Test in #75 and here's a link to a photo of him afterwards when he was removing his Rookie Stripes.
