WoS is running now, if the wind dies down. I'm told the salt is better than SpeedWeek. SCTA has the dates for the World Finials Qct 3-6. But so far I hear only 10 entries. They want around 50 to make a go of it. So, if you have a Bonneville legal car or bike and want some seat time, jump on it. Cool air makes fast speeds. Cheap motels. Short lines. What more can you ask for?

I rented a car and coming up if it is a go. Trying to convince Jim Loving to run his Firebird. I understand Danny Thompson and Poteete & Main are both scheduled.

And Flash Point. I think Marlo was saying that if WoS went well. they might be there.

From what I just read in Bonnevilel Racing News, Marlo has some driveline rebuilding to do. The rough salt during speed week tore things up pretty good.

  6. Been there once...one of the coolest things ever. Won't be there this year. But will give it a bump.

I have a number of friends who say they wanna go to Bonneville before they die. My reply is always the same, "You better fricking go before IT dies".

Maybe you don't need to get to excited after all. Cooks Shootout pic. bflat_cam_current.jpg

SCTA says it's still a go. Might dry up by then.

That is a picture from the Bonneville web cam. Looks like it was taken a few hours before the one I posted. Official notices can be found on the SCTA-BNI web site or the Mike Cook Shootout site.

That's not deep enough for a prop. They could run flat bottom fan boats though.
