The 57 is my favorite body of the Ranchero's but my 65 ain't bad. The 57 though is a lot more useful.
I dig your Ranchero. I have a 59 Fairlane 500, currently flat white, that is getting some mild custom work as well. I have 59 Buick tail light lens' that will eventually get a very mild french with rings I bought from Spence, I have the reverse lights as turn signals, lakes, Edsel cluster, and I recently acquired a 57 DeSoto grill. (my car is also flat white, but I promise I'm not trying to copy!) The goal is a Watson style green/white paint job next year. The fenders are currently off the car, but it looks like the bottoms will need to be cut off to make the bumper fit. (The bumper extensions) Is that what you did? Thanks
There was a flat white 59 for sale sometime back with a green metal flaked roof, and was lowered down. Anyone remember it or have pics of it? I thought it was pretty sweet.
Yours will be really nice. Great job. There isn't a day goes by that I wished I had a bed behind me instead of a trunk
Haven't been on here in about a decade. Just started snooping around again and I find this thread. Found this one years ago on the internet. Kind of liking the Impala front bumper. Only pic I ever found of it.
I've suddenly had a hankering for a '57-'59 Ranchero recently. Found a cool project on CL that I could afford if I wasn't 6000 miles across the ocean from it. Sent from my SM-G955F using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
I let this one get away from me back in the late 80's early 90's. I had to sell it to pay for X-mas one year. I sold it for $500 and a case of beer. I've regretted it many times over the years;
This is the one that Masterson and I chopped in 2010... Roll pan for the rear instead of the bumper.. I'm a little late to this party. I also have some pictures of the Blue Metal Flaked '57 that I had around 2001.. I will try to find them
I made a 1x1 jig to hold it together straight- welded the bump-outs in for the plate. Still need to weld in the top section, itll get sliced out about 4-5" for the transition so it doesn't peak... I should get some time this weekend to finish getting things welded together. The plate I'll make flip down for the hitch, then I need to add the punch press material to match the front bumper. Still need to figure out what to do with the unsightly hinges. Tuck
