That's the Sampson V-16 car. One of the few (that I know of) oval track cars that used a rear De dion suspension.

 

Born and raised in Santa Paula, spent a lot of time surfing Rincon. Very good friend of mine had two beach homes one located in the "forested" area and another further south.

We live in a "dark zone" in the country...no street lights, few lights on houses. Great for seeing the stars, not so great for driving around without sealed beam headlamps...

 

I can make the right change with this machine before you can get your hand out of your pocket.

Our first family station wagon(bought in 1957) was just like the two toned 53 Chevy at far right, brings back memories of how excited I was to finally have a wagon. Dad traded it in on a 56 Buick Century wagon in 1960. Nothing but Buicks from then on!
