For many years the GM South Plant in Oshawa, Ontario produced GMC pickups, one of the most acclaimed and productive plants in the GM empire. I was shut down during the reorganization when Barak Obama saved the company. Canadian Pontiacs always had GMC 6-cylinder engines as an option, until the "modern era." My neighbor pulled a house trailer to the West Coast and back with a '61 Parisienne equipped with the big six, which had plenty of torque.

  3. My brother got a speeding ticket for going 1 MPH over the 20 MPH speed limit on this very street. Jacksonville, Oregon where they shot "Paint your Wagon". _Jacksonville_ERN.jpg

The black and red roadsters were regulars at Pomona drags. I watched them many times. They were raced a lot.
